Education is the basis for the sustainable development of any nation, with teachers being the main actors in the teaching-learning processes. In this sense, having the appropriate profiles of educational professionals is essential to meet the training needs of students. This work addresses the study of the supply and demand of teaching professionals in Peru, specifically at the initial, primary and secondary education levels. This work carries out a broad analysis regarding the supply and demand of teachers in the national context. Considering the relevance of having competent professionals to support educational quality, it is urgent to address this problem. This will contribute to the definition of public policies aimed at improving the training and working conditions of teachers. Only in this way can Peruvian education progress for the benefit of future generations.
