Synopsis

The main objective of this research work was the proposal of a total quality management system design or TQM (Total Quality Management) in the Moodle platform. This will allow to achieve great changes in the professional training of the student through the virtual platform and obtain the total quality of said tool for the implementation of a virtual course of the Mathematics course when using the TQM management model. As a previous work, information was collected that supports the research work through surveys and an interview, which reflected the various concerns and problems that exist in the university; This work acted as a starting point to present the alternative to the problem detected. Likewise, the design was structured in three axes: planning, quality control and quality improvement; In addition, it was organized into two units whose established duration was eight weeks in total and were made up of capacities, topics, criteria to be developed – conceptual, procedural and attitudinal – and the evaluation, as well as the respective monitoring. This proposal was applied to university students, who showed interest in their learning when executing said design. Therefore, it was demonstrated that a quality management design with the TQM model in the Moodle virtual platform, oriented to education, allows to achieve significant teachings and stimulates learning. For this, special care must be taken in the planning and design of the methodological and pedagogical elements.
