Industrial Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSEs) play a fundamental role in the economic growth and social development of any country. Their ability to generate employment, innovate and adapt to changing market demands makes them a key driver of the economy, especially in developing countries. However, industrial MSEs also face numerous challenges, such as competition with larger companies, limited access to finance and the need to adapt to new technologies. Productivity, understood as the relationship between the inputs used and the products or services generated, is a critical factor for the success of industrial MSEs. Greater productivity allows companies to reduce their costs, improve the quality of their products and services, and compete more effectively in the market. This book focuses on the influence of external factors on the productivity of industrial MSEs, with the aim of understanding how these companies can adapt to the changing demands of the environment and improve their performance (Navarrete et al., 2015). The book focuses on industrial SMEs in the manufacturing sector, with a particular focus on the context of the province of Puno, Peru, during the period 2017-2019, in order to provide a contextualized and relevant analysis of the reality of these companies. The overall objective of the book is to analyze the influence of external factors on the productivity of industrial SMEs, providing a conceptual and methodological framework for understanding this phenomenon and identifying adaptation strategies.
