Synopsis

Strategic planning for continuous improvement responds to the real context where the territories must be properly directed based on the comprehensive knowledge of their realities, these allow to identify the image of the current territory, to then design the desired futures, the coordinated policies and plans that generate the objectives and strategic actions to make the territory more viable in its sustainable development.
In addition, strategic planning for continuous improvement is based on the International Future Model (IFs) since it constitutes a prospective tool, and is a simulation model of global systems that incorporates demographic, economic, environmental, technological, political modules and dimensions, among others.
The present study contributes to the generation and transmission of strategic knowledge but this time added to continuous improvement as an element of analysis and involvement in sustainable development, in addition to allowing this scientific knowledge to be integrated at the service of Local Governments and Sectoral Entities for their academic reflection. Therefore, the sustainable contribution of the research emphasizes the cycle of strategic planning as an impulse to continuous improvement with the development of the province of Yauli, Peru.
