Synopsis

In universities, diverse relationships develop between the different actors, where university professors fulfill the mission of creating and transmitting knowledge, being a driving force and executor and fundamental support in the fulfillment of the mission of said institutions. The factors of Work Motivation and the elements and characteristics of the Organizational Culture constitute raw material for the development of labor relations carried out in the fulfillment of university functions; Therefore, these institutions must create mechanisms that develop motivating factors to try to resolve the discomforts perceived in university teachers.
Without the need to go into a concrete or scientific definition, motivation can be understood as all those stimuli (internal or external) that are constantly driving human beings to achieve their objectives and achieve their goals. If we transfer it to a business or administrative field, it can be understood as those activities or incentives that make the personnel who work in the company feel inspired and encouraged to carry out their tasks effectively and optimally.
In educational institutions it is not something very different: if the administrative part understands and understands the needs of its teaching staff, these same teachers will show positive attitudes to exercise their profession; and if a teacher is enjoying his work and transferring his knowledge accurately and effectively, surely the student part will enjoy learning much more.
However, each university can be transferred to the business field and understood as an interconnected network of people in which each section is a key link that supports the rest of the structure. If just one of these sectors does not have enough stimulus to perform and work, it is almost certain that the other parts of it will be affected.
This is how the present study was born, which aims to give an approach to the emotions that are created among the university sector (specifically the teaching field) in order to determine how these influence or do not influence the organizational culture of the educational establishment in which they work. .
Due to its strategic importance and complexity in the organizational world and seeking to offer contributions on real situations generated in practice, this book has been developed in which both organizational culture and motivation in university teachers are addressed, presenting the case from a Peruvian university.
